Senior Frontend Engineer, Nuvoair Inc.

Mar 2022 - Present

  • Consistently delivered on new feature releases for a Vue.js physician portal for patient management which showcases alerts, trends, and reports for all patients.
  • Frontend lead for a rework of our clinical trial management portal from Django to React, including introduction of several new functionalities such as overwriting, summary reports, and version control.
  • Developed an award winning project for our company hackathon, where the team showcased a React web version of the mobile app's questionnaire filling functionality. Transformed this concept into a marketable onboarding page, contributing to increased client engagement over the past year.
  • Designed frontend architecture for an admin portal using React for Nuvoair employees to manage configurations for sites, participants, and the numerous features that our various applications support. Developed a highly reusable React-based admin portal template, expanding the managed entities from approximately 20 to over 80, enhancing efficiency and consistency across two product teams.
  • Demonstrated versatility through occasional code commits for both Django applications and Kotlin microservices, leveraging backend knowledge to contribute to the overall success of the projects.

  • Worked on new product development as a hardware design engineer in the development of Water Purification and Dialysate Mixing modules for in-home hemodialysis treatment.
  • Created overall reliability assessment for the Water Purification and Dialysate Mixing modules after designing and executing reliability tests of various pumps, actuators, and sensors which led to several design improvements for the product as well as other R&D projects within the company.
  • Effectively maintained production of the NxStage’s hemodialysis blood and dialysate Cycler while implementing product improvements and supporting software upgrades.
  • Served as project manager for the release of major software and hardware updates for the Cycler’s touchscreen monitor, while also leading the hardware design deliverables for the project.

  • Contributed to the design and development of the Orion™ mapping catheter used in high-resolution mapping of cardiac electrical pathways to treat arrhythmia.
  • Designed in-house test methods for functional tests and wrote software programs for processing test results (MATLAB)
  • Led testing efforts for root cause investigations and risk assessment during Limited Market Release of the Orion catheter to quickly address customer feedback while ensuring uninterrupted launch into market. Created dashboard for easy characterization of customer feedback sorted by hospital and feedback type. (Javascript)
